Sadly being a Lash artist is not a regulated qualification so you you do need to know that your Lash Artist has done a proper course and is well qualified to perform a healthy damage free set of lashes for you. Generally speaking you will find cheap lashes never to be good. Absolutely they can! At any lash appointment your lashes need to be assessed. Then the appropriate precautions need to be taken as to what can be applied in a healthy way. A well educated Lash Artist will know just how far to extend with out causing damage and premature shedding. If you live in south Gippsland you can book with us.

No not all Lash glues are the same at all. Some are medical grade and some are definatly not. At exotique we only sell and use our internationally certified medical grade glues.

These Glues are safe as is possible. Sadly some Lash artists just buy cheap glues off amazon or the like saving dollars over the health of your eyes. If the wrong glue is used servere reactions may occur. Please be cautious as to who you go to and once again cheap lashes are not necessarily good lashes.

Yes and they should be water rinsed on completion of your actual lash appointment. This has now been proven to help cure the glue and to minimise your chance of building up to a reaction. You always can tell if your Lash artist is well educated because if the are they will always water rinse on completion. It is very old school to tell clients to keep lashes dry for 24-48 hours now. This was taught here in australia approx 10 years or more ago. As our proffession has advanced we grow and this is the latest teachings for all well qualified Lash Artists now. This is a complex one. In a nut shell if lashes are applied correctly they should last approx 3 weeks before needing a refill. We all shed between 1-5 lashes naturally everyday of our lives. So it is normal to loose up to 5 or so a day. If when the lashes shed there is no extension attached this means your extensions have lifted not shed. This is not normal and comes back to products and expertise. Occasionally there can be a medical reason as to why your lashes havent lasted or you have used products on them that are not appropriate. This is very rare though to be the case. It is usually about the quality of the application and products.

When cheap products are used results are usually poor. Lash Extensions is a luxury treatment and quality ones are never cheap.

Yes Lash Serums do work. In fact as a Lash Artist I highly recommend one. By using a Lash Serum your natural lashes will be naturally stonger and thicker. This means you can just wear mascara if you fancy and have a beautiful effect or Apply Lashes to them for a really wow effect. If you have strong healthy lashes we can achieve optimal results. We recommend a dedicated a Lash Foam. This Product is designed to clean your lashes with no damage to the glue. This should be used daily. Pump some lash foam into the lid of the bottle 2-3 pumps then with your lash foam brush work into the lashes with closed eyes in a downward motion. Not from side to side as this will stress the lashes. Once the lash foam has been worked in it needs to be rinsed away. At home this can be done in the shower or using a face cloth by sponging water onto the eyes not using a wiping motion.

In Salon we recommend using a disposable lipwand to work into the lashes.and then use a rinsing bottle filled with water to rinse the foam away.

This will result in lovely clean lashes. Your lashes will always last longer if they are clean and free from body oils and skin debris. Lash foam is not a makeup remover. If you wear heavy makeup we recommend our eye makeup remover to be used first, then the the lash foam for beautiful clean eyes.

No this is not normal. Redness of the sclerial (or whites of the eye) is unusal. It can be a number of things, you could possibly be very sensitive to the glues. Or your eyes were opened during the application even just a crack. This can can cause a chemical burn. It is important that your eyes are always closed during an application. If you do feel any discomfort during a lash application do speak up as it can be easily rectified by adjusing the lash pad or moving tape.

If eyes are very red after 24 hours do talk to your lash artist as they do need to know. If you are worried do seak medical advice.

Classic Lashes are where we apply 1 extension to one of your natural lashes. This is a simlistic set and it will depend how full your natural lashes are to the effect that can be created. A Hybrid set of Lashes is where we apply half Classic and half Volume lashes to create a fuller look than a classic set of lashes. A Russian Volme set of Lashes is where we create little fans of very fine lashes and apply them to your natural lashes. this creates a really full fluffy look.It takes alot of training and skill to apply these well. Each pair is for a different purpose and we guarantee each pair to work as we suggest. If you purchase a Volume pair we will hand test it for you to make sure it works well. Remember to hold your tweezer evenly to allow the tips to close correctly. Enjoy browsing through our great collection.

Firstly do your research. How long is the class and is it going to cover all you need? Is the Trainer someone that is a reputable Trainer? If you believe they are your course should be great.
