Volume Lashes

When you think of Volume Lashes you can be forgiven for thinking of that full on Caterpillar look. This is not what Volume lashes are or meant to be. True Russian Volume Lashes are delicate, soft and fluffy. Never over extended and when styled well to the eye are just Beautiful.

Volume eyelash extension benefits are many. You can achieve a fuller look when wearing volume lashes especially if you have a sparse lash line. When they start to shed they can often look less gappy than Classic Lashes. They are totally weightless to wear and we can create so many different looks when the eye is styled. There is a difference in application too of volume lash extensions. It's best to find a Salon that is experienced in the handmade application. Your appointment will be longer but the retention so much more superior. If you are wanting the same look but a quicker application the premade volume lashes are your best next step. This is where the lash artist applies the lash fans from a packet making the application so much quicker. The danger here though is the lash artist can't match the fan as easily to your natural lashes as they are restricted by what they have on hand in their packet. Handmade volume lashes are made as we go matching each fan that we make to the strength of that natural lash as to what it can support ensuring the heath and longevity of your natural lashes. 

When the Russians developed this style they used very short lengths, rarely going above a 9mm length. Sometimes even applying shorter than the natural lash itself. Because of this the set can last up to eight weeks. Refills are never performed in Russia. The remaining ones are removed and then a complete new set is applied.

In Australia we are very much expected to perform refills as this is what we are used to with our classic applications etc. We also apply longer lengths so they do tend to shed a lot quicker so needing a refill on average every 3 weeks. It is still important to keep the lengths shorter though. In our Salon we very rarely go over a 12mm length and only when the clients lashes can support this length.

Something you may not be aware of.......a set will always look fuller with shorter length lashes than going longer. Sadly clients seem to think the longer the better but this is for us to educate them and to style their eyes to perfection showing them that shorter is best.

So overall the Benefits of Volume lashes are, a softer fluffier look, a fuller look when natural lashes are sparse, lighter to wear and less gappy as they shed.
