At Exotique Lashes, our cosmetic tattooing is a semi-permanent solution lasting from 18 months to years. This is your wakeup makeup so from the second you wake up you will have perfect Brows, lips or Eyeliner. Cosmetic Tattooing is a shallow tattoo that is almost completely painless! ( Most clients fall asleep)
We allow 3-hours for each appointment carefully mapping and drawing your desired outcome before any tattooing is commenced. The mapping part is most important so that you know you will be happy with the outcome. The Mapping is extremely precise to ensure perfect results. We use Permablend pigments, matching the pigment to your skin tone for a natural, customised look. We will often blend a colour especially for you so we achieve the perfect result! We specialise in a subtle look for brows so you will keep your friends guessing. They will just think you have applied your makeup beautifully.
We also offer a free consultation where you can come in and discuss your desired outcome. We insist on this so we can assess if your skin is suitable for a cosmetic tattoo. In this appointment we will discuss the look you would like and also your desired colour outcome.

How should I prepare for a cosmetic tattoo?
We offer a free consultation to discuss your needs and ensure it’s a good fit. On the day, avoid applying makeup or skincare products to the treatment area for the best results.
Lip Blush
Is the ideal application for those that feel they have no real outline or colour to the lips. During your free consultation we discuss your desired outcome and the colour you would like. Lip blush is just as it says.......its a blush of colour. Not a lipstick effect. It means you will have your desired colour outcome within your lips on healing to just add gloss for a natural carefree look. Yes you can always wear any colour lipstick over the top if you choose.
Pictured above is straight off the needle. The colour will be bold on the day but you will drop approx 60-70% of the colour on healing leaving a soft blush of colour. Not sure? Book a free consultation and we can discuss your concerns.
Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?
We use a specific numbing cream to ensure your comfort—most clients find it so relaxing they fall asleep during the session!
How do you match the colour to my skin?
At your consultation appointment we will assess your skin type and discuss your desired outcome. We will then decide on a pigment or blend of pigments to ensure the perfect outcome for you. We use high quality Permablend Pigments.
What’s the process like?
We allow 3 hours for each Cosmetic Tattoo appointment, the first hour is where we do our detailed mapping. Once yourself & our highly skilled tattoo artist is happy with the outcome we then commence tattooing. We use a machine similar to a tattoo machine at low speeds for precision, making it gentle on your skin.
Eyeliner or Lash Line enhancement can be applied to your lower lid, top lid or both, your choice. You can also select a colour of your choice. Pictured here is Black but Dark brown is also popular. Yes the eye area can be sensitive, we overcome this by using a script exclusively for you from a neighbouring Pharmacy. When you have your free consultation with us the script form will be given to you to have filled. Pain free service ahead!
Results and Healing
Once your Cosmetic tattoo has been completed it will seem much darker on the day than what the healed result will be. The complete healing process is about 4-6 weeks before you will see the true outcome. Your tattoo will fade 40 - 50% by the time it has healed. You can expect to have light scabbing in the first week ( almost like flaky skin not big scabs) in which you will be keeping the area dry. At around the 3 - 4 week mark you will go through a ghosting phase which is totally normal where you may feel like a lot of the colour has disappeared. Then in the final weeks the colour will re-emerge revealing the final results.
