Eyelash Extensions, how do you know if you are getting the best Eyelash Extensions?

How do you know if you are getting the best eyelash extensions? There are so many factors to consider. Let's break it down.

Firstly wherever you choose to go too, stalk them on social media to see what their work looks like! Does everyone get exactly the same look or does the Lash Artist create a bespoke set for each client?

Check to see if they have certificates of adequate training. The last thing you want is someone that has just watched Youtube to be applying your lashes. This could end very badly!

When you arrive at your appointment does the Lash Artist do a detailed consultation for which you actually sign? This will usually indicate that the Lash Artist has insurance. This is sooo important!

Your eye shape should then be assessed and discussed with you by the Artist to work out what style and mapping should be done to give you the best look. If lashes are done poorly with the wrong curls you can actually end up looking quite sad.

Once you enter the treatment room it should appear very clean and welcoming. The Lash Artist should wash their hands prior to touching you, apply a mask and they make you comfortable with pillows and or a blanket.

Your lashes should then be foam washed so they are squeaky clean ready for the lashes to be applied. The glue will adhere much better to clean lashes providing you with the best retention.

Lash Pads should be applied after the foam wash. If your lash artist only uses tape and not lash pads this could be a sign that they are skimping on products and not using medical grade where possible (a little red flag there). When quality products are used you will find the lashes will feel soft and you will get wonderful lasting from them. The Lash Artist does play are part in you receiving great retention due to their skill level.

Once your set is complete your Lash Artist will fan dry your lashes, and do a water rinse. Then fan dry again. If no water rinse is done this is a sure sign the the lash artist is not current in the industry with their training. So if you want the very best eyelash extensions these are things I would look out for. One size or look does not suit everyone!

I hope this helps for you to find a lash artist that can provide you with the very best eyelash extensions. If you are in South Gippsland and would like to make an appointment with the Exotique Team click here.
